Nasarawa state boosts health sector with new equipment His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has assured the people of the commitment of the Nasarawa state Government to boost the health sector though quality service delivery that would impact positively on the lives of the citizenry. Gov. Almakura made this known during the official commissioning of three mobile hospitals that would be distributed across the 3 senatorial districts of the state for outreach services in areas with no hospitals or with outbreaks . He also launched the next wave of distribution of hospital equipment and medical supplies recently received from the United States, where he said the the equipment would be distributed to all the hospital and health care centers in the state to enhance quality / efficient service delivery in the health sector. Also speaking at the event the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe said the huge strides being seen in the health sector is due to the commitment by His Excellency to improve the lives of the people. He explained how the 9 year old trucks had to be inspected and serviced by the manufacturing company from Spain, to ensure they were ready to be put on the road by next week.
