Nate and I have decided that we are going to build a house instead of buying one. Its a little ways off, but we both agreed we want to do a container house. So my obsession for the past few days to blow off steam has been researching and doing a full right up one materials, estimates, hand sketched designs, as many DIY tutorials I can find, and proper ways to have them installed safely so it is an extremely safe and well put together home. I am excited that my inner hippie is having a chance to stretch out with a lot of earth friendly designs too. I have a Google doc that is starting to look like one of my Anthropological research projects. O.o The main thing is we will have a beautiful, well put together, extremely affordable home that can easily have space for growth as our family grows, especially the way I am designing it. Id love it to be something that is as much DIY as we can get. Saves money and I would love to live somewhere we had a huge hand in putting together. The main issue is finding affordable land where we eventually want to settle down. We still have time. Im just excited that the soon to be hubby and I, as usual, are on the same page. :D
