National Forecast from Met Éireann. 19 August 2013 11:09 Today There will be a good deal of dry weather today with just a few light scattered showers. Bright or sunny spells will develop and temperatures will climb to between 17 and 20 degrees in light to moderate west to southwest winds. Tonight It will stay largely dry tonight with some clear spells. In the west of the country it will be cloudier with a few light showers developing along the coast. Lowest temperatures tonight will fall to between 10 and 13 degrees in light southwest breezes. Tomorrow Tuesday will be mainly dry in the east and southeast with some bright spells. In the west rain and drizzle will develop and it will become breezy. This rain and drizzle will slowly extend eastwards during the day and it will be heavy in parts of the north and west. Some eastern parts will remain dry until later in the evening. Highs of 17 to 20 degrees with freshening southerly winds. Outlook Headline : Overall, the weather for the rest of the week will be changeable, but rainfall amounts will be well below normal and it will be a little warmer than average. Tuesday night : Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will clear eastwards, followed by clearer weather, with a few scattered showers. Winds will veer southwesterly, but it will remain breezy. Wednesday : Bright or sunny spells, but some scattered showers also. Maximum temperatures 17 to 21 Celsius, coolest along Atlantic coasts, with moderate westerly breezes. Thursday : Mainly dry, with sunny spells and light east to southeast or variable breezes. Max. 18 to 21 Celsius. Friday & weekend : Early indications suggest that the end of the week will be warm and humid, but some showery outbreaks of rain are likely in places on Friday, especially in the south and southwest, with changeable weather following over next weekend.
