National Forecast from Met Éireann. 22 November 2013 07:59 Today Cold and frosty this morning with some fog patches and icy stretches. The frost and fog will gradually clear with sunny spells developing. Therell be a few isolated showers on north and east facing coasts. Highest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees with light north to northeast breezes. Tonight Tonight will be cold and dry apart from a few coastal showers on north and east facing coasts. A widespread sharp or severe frost will develop along with patches of mist and fog and some icy stretches on roads. Lowest temperatures of -5 to 0 degrees. Tomorrow Cold again on Saturday with frost, fog and icy patches at first. These will clear and the day will have a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Therell be a few isolated showers on north and east facing coasts. Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees with light northerly breezes. Outlook Saturday night will be cold with a widespread sharp frost, patches of fog and icy stretches on some roads. It will be dry apart from isolated coastal showers. Lowest temperatures of -3 to 0 degrees. Sunday and Monday will both be cold and dry apart from isolated coastal showers. Sunny spells will develop as morning frost and fog clear. Daytime temperatures will range from 4 to 8 degrees with light variable breezes. The nights will be cold with widespread frost and patches of fog developing. Lowest temperatures of -2 to +1 degrees. On Tuesday, a moderate westerly airflow will develop. This will have the effect of increasing temperatures somewhat. It will be a dry day with bright or sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with light to moderate westerly breezes. Tuesday night will be cloudy over much of the country with outbreaks of rain or drizzle. Therell be some clear spells in Munster and south Leinster with lowest temperatures of 2 to 4 degrees. Further north, temperatures will range from 4 to 8 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday will be mainly dry with a mix of cloudy periods and sunny spells. Daytime temperatures will reach between 8 and 10 degrees. The nights will be mostly frost free with lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees. At the moment it looks like a band of rain will spread southeastwards over the country on Thursday night with scattered showers following on Friday.
