National Gedeans Meeting Charade -Sycophancy, Mediocrity and Blasphemy exalted For the last few days, Grand Gedeans have been brainstorming on how to deal with the recently travesty of justice and inhumanity meted against our people – the 13 young men who were adjudged guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. Tension is high and the anger of Grand Gedeans has flared. Three meetings of the masses of our people generated tremendous concern and they have accentuated their dislikes about the way and manner their kinsmen were treated. The government of Liberia since June 2012 started arresting, torturing and violating the rights of 29 Grand Gedeans. In the end 13 young men were left on hook and slammed with life jail sentence. As the mass meeting, spearheaded by Mr. Michael Gilman, Kwame Weeks, Bull Yonly, and myself, generated enormous attendance and plan of action to stage a peace march on the Wahsington D.C at the Liberian Embassy, Grand Gedeh Association President Tilman Collins jumped to the dance, yet again, of farce. In his bid to create disconnect and divide the people he called a meeting Thursday night and upstage the discussion. In fact, his Secretary General, a Gaychuway, was the marshal general, and at best, all the sycophants and bootlickers spewed and exalted mediocrity and blasphemy. They abandoned the issues and dwelled largely on personality. Even the so-called educated found themselves in the pool of inconsistency and blatant flippancy. Some wanted unity of purpose but they were at the same time denigrating and disparaging another group of Grand Gedeans because wanted to simply lick the feet of a man who has deceived his people from day one. It beats my imagination that a man who said nobody was in jail when there 29 locked up and tortured; a man who said he spoke with one of the victim of injustice, Nezee Barway though he did not even call to Liberia would be taken seriously this time when the same tactics are rearing their head. In past two I will discuss the issues that we are grabbing with, in an effort to enlighten all of us to take the best step forward.
