National Moth Week Moth pollination syndrome -- most moth/flower interactions follow a distinct pattern called a "syndrome", where these plants have tubular flowers 1) with very pale colors or white, 2) that open late in the day into nighttime, and 3) with strong perfume. Note that there are exceptions to these rules! Most moths are generalists, meaning they will visit a number of plant species (vs. a specialist).
