National Search: Associate Director of Bands, Director of Athletic Bands Assistant Professor of Music- tenure track appointment The School of Music at Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, benefits eligible, 12-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Music/Associate Director of Bands. Responsibilities will require teaching, scholarship, and service to include creating and directing the Kennesaw State University Marching Band (Fall 2015 debut), conduct and coordinate the Basketball Band, conduct the KSU Concert Band, and teach other courses in Music Education as needed. Starting date 7/1/2014 An earned doctorate in Music (ABD considered), the foreign equivalent, or its equivalent in training, ability, and/or experience is required. Candidates should possess expertise in music education and experience in directing a marching band at the secondary school or university level.
