National Weather Service Weekly Update The National Weather - TopicsExpress

National Weather Service Weekly Update The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting showers and thunderstorms to increase in coverage along the coast, and move inland overnight across southeast Texas and southwestern Louisiana. During the day on Friday, the activity will be centered more on east Texas and central Louisiana, before moving off to the east late Friday night. As much as one to four inches of rain is expected. There is only a marginal (5%) risk for storms to become severe on Friday, along and south of the I-10 corridor. Due to the southerly winds, tides will run a foot above normal tonight and Friday, before the winds shift to out of the north late Friday. Most of the weekend will be cool and dry, waiting on the next cold front passage on Tuesday. The early look for Christmas Day is dry, cool in the morning and seasonably warm in the afternoon.
