National education day observed JAMMU, NOVEMBER 11-National Education Day was celebrated at Government Polytechnic College Jammu to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of Independent India. On the occasion inter-branch debate competition was held in the auditorium of the college. The chief guest of the function Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the College highlighted the achievements and contributions of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in Independence movement as the freedom fighter, as an educationist as well as the first Education Minister of Independent India. In the debate competition Dawar Hussain, first semester architecture, Aaquib Rashid, first semester electrical and Arif Raza, first semester architecture were adjudged first, second and third respectively. The function was hosted by Er Sakshi Kapai, Lecturer Instrumentation and Control.
