National spot exchange settlement completed, at last! ====================================== Looking back, you can only wonder about your own stupidiy :D I was a strong advocate of buying physical gold and silver as savings and not as investments. I was voicing my strong and adverse opinions about all kinds of ETFs into bullions (even painting those as fraud sometimes). And one fine day, I gave in to this new e-Gold and e-Silver offerings. Thinking they are ready to remat in physical form, they are not ETFs. I can attribute this to my sheer laziness to go to jewellers for physical bullion. And so this started in 2011 and went on well for two years. I even exercised the REMAT procedure to get physical metal, and cancelled it at last setp. I thought this is all good. Metal is DMAT form. With a click or phone call, Im buying/selling metal! And last August it bombed! I considered my DMAT holding as lost (अक्कल खाती जमा). And here Im. All my DMAT units settled. All my money recovered. Thanks to FMC and all the legal framework we have (not bother now that Jignesh Shah is released on bail :) ). ============================================== And here I am. Advocating for physical gold and silver. AND NOTHING ELSE!!!
