National teams coaches, captains and journalists, tommorow you cast your vote on who should be the Ballon dOr winner. Messi is the most naturally gifted player the world has ever seen, easily the best player by some distance. However, he has not had a great year by his usually ridiculous standards, be it due to injury or lack of confidence, he has only scored 42 goals this year, dont be fooled, its a very handsome return in only 38 matches but it suffers in comparison to last years exploits. Its a staggering 49 goals behind his last years tally of 91. In short, he has had a very bad year. Hahahaha! Right? And the winner is chosen solely based on the years performances. The incredible Argentine is only against Ronaldo, Ribery, Ibrahimovic and others. Ronaldo has been scoring goals at a rate that takes all the fun out of counting but Im sure thats something Messi can negotiate easily, like he has done over the last four years. Ribery has been exceptional, helped the Bavarians to a treble, unfortunalely Messi doesnt care, ask a certain Mr. Wesly Sneidjer from 2010. Now lets talk about the legendary swede, I remember Nicklas Bendtnar saying that hes the best striker in the world and I laughed my lungs out because that is a statement that only the mammoth-sized swede should say, he has only bamboozled defenders at Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan and lately PSG. In his words If your wife wants to come with me to my house, youre not doing anything wrong, its me! Who wants to score boring goals anymore? On pure talent alone. 1. Messi. 2. Messi. 3. Messi. 4.
