Native Community Food Systems Survey - PLEASE SHARE Please take a look: https://surveymonkey/s/RR3VLMX The Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative (IFAI) at the University of Arkansas School of Law is embarking on an intertribal national scan of community-based food system innovations, a project generously funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. The purpose is to compile the most innovative and promising projects and programs throughout Indian Country into a report that will be available to the public in Spring 2015. IFAI believes the document will provide the benefit of informing food-systems planning throughout the U.S. and in Indian Country, and provide a record of efforts that are moving the needle toward a more sustainable and just food system. The first phase of the Intertribal National Food Systems Scan is a survey. IFAI would like input on the most promising food-system innovations in a community, region or within a tribe that you are aware of. Your contribution to the questionnaire allows IFAI to solicit your recommendations for projects it should know about, or provide information about your own work that you wish to share with others. While IFAI could have conducted this scan using only third-party sources of information, it felt that such a scan would be incomplete without asking for your input. Please fill out the survey, contributing as many projects (including your own) as you would like to nominate. Your response is entirely voluntary. Also, please forward this survey to others who you think should fill it out. You may complete the survey online by clicking here: https://surveymonkey/s/RR3VLMX (Or, if need be, you may request an emailed version of the survey that you can print out, fill out and return by regular mail. Contact either Janie Simms Hipp at (479) 575-4699 or by email at [email protected] or Erin Shirl at (479) 575-6572 or by email at [email protected] to request one. Completed printed surveys should be returned to: University of Arkansas School of Law, Indigenous Food & Agriculture Initiative, c/o Janie Hipp or Erin Shirl, 1045 W. Maple St., Fayetteville, AR 72701) The online version will remain active, and mailed surveys will be collected, until Monday, January 12, 2015. For more detailed information about the input requested, please read the introduction to the online portion of the survey, located here: https://surveymonkey/s/RR3VLMX.
