Nature Awareness 1/18/2014 - Bee Bees are flying insects that are closely related to both wasps and ants, and are known for their critical role in pollination and for producing honey (bee vomit) and beeswax. When the bee shows up, I am always reminded to take it down a notch. It is time once again to ask myself, am I becoming a workaholic? Am I actually taking the proper amount of time out of each day to savor the sweetness in my life and enjoy? The answer for me is usually no. It is important to remember that bees work hard, but they also enjoy the pleasures in life. Hence, my road trip today... To many, bees are a symbol of fertility given their natural role of pollination, and it is this role that has also associated them with the totemic traits of accomplishment and abundance. Bees seek out pollens to bring back to the hive and there produce honey and even beeswax in the process, fulfilling their responsibilities. Bees are all about the balance and the job. They get the job done, share in the reward, enjoy the process, and deliver the abundance and balance. If you feel the bee is seeking you out today, examine your own productivity. Are you doing all you can to make your life more fertile and abundant? Are you busy enough or are you too busy? Are you truly making time to savor the honey of life and not becoming a workaholic? Let the bee guide you along your own path today and deliver abundance and sweetness. Symbolism: hard work, rewards, accomplishment, fulfilled responsibilities, shared sweetness in life, fertility, abundance.
