Naughty Teacher Bed-Time Stories (6) If I were a little piggy, perhaps I’d be a boar. I’d make loud squealing noises and also loudly snore. Now, seeing piggies don’t like teachers, we think they are a bore. For our job is much more difficult; for we have piglets by the score. So, if I saw a teacher, even though he may have thrown me a big spud. I’d charge that teacher with my head and throw him in the mud. I’d show that classroom teacher, who I thought was boss. As I put my nose beneath him and give him one more toss. If I were a little guinea-pig, I’d be a rodent that is frail. I’d be very nimble and have short ears and also a short tail. If I saw a teacher standing, yes standing outside my pen. I’d hide into the corner, as does a frightened hen. But if that teacher tried to pat me, it would not be me who got the fright. For my two front teeth are ever so large and can give a nasty bite. I’d give a nip like lightning and then dash beneath the straw. That teacher would then know for sure, who is quicker at the draw. If I were a little kangaroo, a Joey I would be. I’d sleep inside my mummy’s pouch and be filled with joy and glee. Although I’m a grazing marsupial, I stand up really tall. And seeing I don’t like teachers, I’d assist them in how to fall. So, if I saw a teacher walking, a walking past my pouch. I’d quickly act into response, for I am not a slouch. I’d teach that teacher some numeracy too, before sending him to dive. For two plus three kicks in a row, equals exactly five. But seeing I’m not a piggy, a guinea-pig or a kangaroo. I’m just a little school kid, who must always learn the new. So, I’ll sit inside my classroom and not even make a ‘boo’. For, if I opened up my mouth, it would show that I have no clue. Yes I wish I was a piggy, a guinea-pig or a kangaroo. Then there’d be no school for me, for I’d run so fast and true.
