Nearly 1800 miles driving from Darwin to Kakadu Park (lush & green) to Katherine to Tennant Creek to Alice Springs to Ayers Rock, most interesting terrain, people, wildlife, stories, terrible food & laughs. Backtracking some now - Journey to Uluru - Authentic Australian Adventure: On Wed., Jan 14th, 6 hrs. on the road from Tennant Creek (ugly, icky place) to Alice Springs (pretty place) & 5 hrs. to Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the Northern Territories. The Roadhouses to buy gas & beverages, etc., were all unique. Like something out of the 1950s, mostly dirty, kind of gross, & all with authentic personalities in the Outback. LOL!
