Nearly 4 hours at the doctors office today, but 3 appointments down. Fibromyalgia officially diagnosed by a Rheumatologist, he prescribed Tramadol for the pain. I got fitted for a mask for my CPAP machine (I need a small, Im currently using a large, LOL). They changed the settings on my machine as well, and ordered an in home sleep study (thank god I dont have to go somewhere else to do it!) and they want me to get a newer machine, which will be around $200. The Sleep doc confirmed my apnea is NOT from being fat (so eff off Healthpoint Doctors), I have a narrow jaw and windpipe and an enlarged and elongated uvula. My lower jaw is set back too far as well, which caused my major overbite before I had braces. it also causes apnea on top of the other things. my nostrils are also too small to allow enough air, which is why I breath through my mouth at night. They think with the right mask they can drastically increase the hours I have the mask on at night which will help much more with being able to wake up in the morning and my cognitive abilities throughout the day.
