Necessity of Bayat A question is asked, that, a person who has grown up in a good sunni environment, has the Quran and Hadith, then why is it necessary to have a Peer? The answer is simple. Quran and Hadith surely contains knowledge and guidance, BUT we need Awliya to UNDERSTAND this knowledge and guidance. For example, we know that there are cure in herbs. But HOW to use these herbs, we do not know, and so, we need an expert in this field to explain to us. In the same way, we know there is knowledge and guidance in Quran, but we cannot benefit directly. We need Awliya to explain to us, and guide us. Allah has sent many Books, maximum 200. And Allah has sent around 124000 Prophets. Have you ever thought? Why are Books are so little, and Prophets (Guides) so many? This is because, it is the Way of Allah that when He guides, He guides through Prophets and Awliya, not through Books directly. Books are there but only Awliya can make us benefit from the Books. People who start using their own mind to understand the group, they go on wrong path and finally many fake jamaats are created.
