Need help have no heat right now 2 kids 4&infant. I have baseboard . It started in beginning of January every week for a day it would shut off. Had a friend come and tell us it was pump and thermostat . Charged me $700. A week later it does it again . Tells me over phone its prob aquastat and wanted another $500 . It came back on and I thought he was ripping me off so I denied it. Saturday again heat goes off I get it back on but its low till yest then goes off. I had two ppl tell me that it prob needs to be drained.A lot a lot of pinging and banging. Yest hub did it manually himself thru YouTube. Video . Immediately it started getting hotter and hotter. We we t to bed after 2 hrs I woke freezing . It shut off again. Doesnt make sense obv its working . Boiler got super hot during bleed and for the next hr or two. Im just so frustrated were cold. If the heaters will only last of the power stays on . Anyone have any ideas . Or someone that will come and give me an estimate for free or cheap. Between Xmas sons bday and the last guy I cant afford much I need to so this on my own if I could. I know hub left the bleeder valve open slightly. But I cant imagine it trapping enough air in 2hrs to shut down again. Any thoughts I appreckate!
