Neglected senior with the saddest eyes, left at animal control Comment4 Share See also Dog adoption/ death row dog Veila Pat Gregoire via Facebook Penny Eims|Dog News Examiner Subscribe Advertisement November 2, 2013 A beautiful senior dog, whose body speaks of a life of neglect, was left at the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif., on Oct. 31. Eight-year-old Veila, a Labrador retriever mix, who is described as very friendly, has sparse fur and goopy eyes - evidence of less than stellar care by her prior owner. Today, the sad senior sits in loneliness and confusion, wondering what happened. Nothing around her is familiar - there are frantic barks and cries from other distraught dogs, faces of unfamiliar strangers who walk the kennel aisles and smells of fear. Please take a moment to network on Veilas behalf - her very life depends on the kindness of strangers.
