Negotiations with potential investors for Mounting Systems GmbH in - TopicsExpress

Negotiations with potential investors for Mounting Systems GmbH in Rangsdorf are very well underway. From a considerable number of interested parties, the Managing Directors and the preliminary insolvency administrator have selected the most interesting potential investors with whom they will intensify negotiations in the weeks to come. Spork: "First offers have been placed – best one for Mounting Systems will be accepted." "We are very content with the search for investors and the great interest in Mounting Systems – be it from Europe or the U.S.A. From numerous applicants, we have selected the most interesting ones," said Stefan Spork, Managing Director of Mounting Systems. "We have received first indicative offers and are expecting more to follow. The offer that best fits the overall concept of Mounting Systems will be accepted in the end." Undritz: "We are confident to reach an agreement by the end of October." "The investor process is very well on track at both Conergy production subsidiaries. I am expecting to reach an agreement on the sale with one of the selected interested parties by the end of October," said preliminary insolvency administrator Dr. Sven-Holger Undritz. "We will therefore continue business operations during October. The order book and utilization continue to be stable even though not at the same level as in the previous years." Undritz: "We have to think ahead and set the course for the acquisition by investors." During the past three months wages and salaries of the Conergy employees were secured by insolvency payments. These are only disbursed for three months and will end on 1 October 2013. Therefore business operations will continue with part of the staff as of October: 152 employees will keep producing mounting systems at the manufacturing site. Further 52 employees will have to be released when insolvency proceedings are opened on 1 October 2013. "Only by thinking ahead and setting the course for the take-over by investors we can secure a majority of the jobs at the site in the long term," said Undritz. Spork: "I am convinced that Mounting Systems will have a very successful future." "The order books are, despite our current situation, relatively well filled and the customers remain loyal even during this difficult time," said MD Spork. "Nevertheless, the pressure on the solar market remains high and we have to advance the restructuring process in order to lower costs. I deeply regret that we cannot retain all staff but have to release a number of qualified employees. This is very painful but unfortunately inevitable. However, I am confident that Mounting Systems will have a very successful future and will offer its employees a very positive perspective. This is why we put great emphasis on the selection of the right interested parties. The concept must fit us and our strengths".
