Neighbourhood watch update Doddinghurst. Hi All In case you havent already heard, there is an illegal traveller encampment on the recreation field next to Peartree Farm and backing on to Dagwood Lane. A white Transit van has been seen cruising around looking for something - presumably either a replacement site or just something to steal. They have definitely checked out Brook Lane, which worries me in case the late Alan Sigstons place is still unoccupied and its adjoining empty property still barely secured with a chain. The Police believe that Brentwood Council is going to court tomorrow in the hope of evicting them by the weekend. Please look after your vehicles, houses and gardens both now and in forthcoming weeks as we cant tell what might have been targeted for later. Please also try to get any unguarded field entrances or properties blocked properly if you own the land or know its owner.
