Neil Wagstaff and I are happy to announce our next Running Strong Womens running retreat to be held from the 20th to the 22nd of February 2015. Once again to be held at the beautiful Patuha Lodge (patuhalodge.co.nz). Cost includes two nights accommodation, all home cooked meals, transport to the trails and up to the lodge from New Plymouth and return to Airport or New Plymouth. 5 Staff will be on hand to look after all your needs. You will get to learn all the nuts and bolts of running from strength, mobility, conditioning, supplements, nutrition, programming, form drills, trail vs road running info, how to become an ultra runner info, but more importantly you will learn how to overcome obstacles in the mind and achieve dreams beyond what you thought possible. The retreat is aimed at beginners (yes absolute beginners more than welcome) through to intermediates and those wanting to step up to longer distances. We culture a non competitive and very supportive environment where women of all ages will feel encouraged and supported to transform their lives through running. Neil and I look forward to hosting you. The cost is $630 and spaces are limited. So email me if you are interested in attending. [email protected] here is a paragraph from a lady on our last retreat. It was only a few weeks ago that I went along and joined Lisa, Neil, Haisley and Lisas whanau in Taranaki to join in a weekend resort to talk about, and participate in, running. I have run a few half marathons and coming up shortly my fourth marathon (a true plodder by nature I am) under my belt. Ultra was on my mind, but for me, what a giant leap. How could I do that? The opportunity to learn hands on, and run with one of our world leaders, and top sports people, in a friendly, supportive, well managed environment, in the quiet scenic, serene location of the Taranaki became available. It was here that my confidence to participate in an ultra was borne, and through this community strengthens. Cheers all!
