Neon Trees is the hottest rock band from Provo, Utah in... ever, maybe? They draw on the same Millennial reinterpretation of 80s New Wave that informs the Killers and Imagine Dragons (two other Mormon-heavy rock bands with success in the last 5 years). Shortly before the release of their third album this year, lead singer Tyler Glenn came out as a gay, practicing Mormon in Rolling Stone to some controversy. The band has had a series of successful pop singles since their 2010 debut and is rapidly making a name for itself in modern rock. Lessons In Love isnt their most successful single, but I think its their best.
