Neurotransmitters and addiction. Neurotransmitters like serotonin - TopicsExpress

Neurotransmitters and addiction. Neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine are feel good biochemical molecules that are stimulated in the brain through activity. It is said that people can become addicted to their own neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine through working or playing on the computer, iPad or mobile phone. However this addiction is of benefit in that it is transferable to working, reading, watching T.V. or plain talking to people, it is you just have to give the change in interface(from device interface to book interface for example) time to cause the same stimulation of the same neurotransmitters.I use to prefer to read a book now I prefer to read on a Kindle. Point is I am still reading. I could still transfer from the Kindle interface to the interface that is of a book. Of course being in love is one of or even the greatest stimulators of the feel good neurotransmitters. Addicted to love ? Okay if your love is reciprocated. Now being Love Sick is a different matter, your neurotransmitters run riot. You could always turn to your computer as a stop-gap. youtu.be/FXYX_ksRwIk. This short video shows some of the different types of neurotransmitters.
