Never revisit the past, thats dangerous. You know, move on. -Robert Redford That probably true for some things, ex-girlfriends, for example, or forgotten food in the refrigerator that looks funny. But I find myself occasionally revisiting and tinkering with photographs that I set aside. Sometimes I realize that I just need to let them go (until enough time passes that I forget that promise). The lower terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs had disappointed me on my last visits...after 20 years the water flow had lessened and so had the colors. These two images, however, were taken late one day on the upper terraces, where I hadnt photographed previously. I have used several of photos from that session, but not these. Finding these two yesterday...they surprised me.
