Never sacrifice who you are or expect others to do so. Every person is unique and deserves a shot at happiness, but that also means that some people just wont be capable to achieve this goal together as they will have to travel very different roads to reach their idea of happiness. You cant change a person to walk on your road as you will lead that person further and further away from their own happiness. My boyfriend and I had to come to the conclusion that our goals and the roads that will lead there are very different and trying to walk together, would mean for both of us that we would have to give up a big part of who we are as individuals. Therefore we will both walk alone until weve found someone whos going in the same direction. So back to being single.
