Never tire of driving past the Cricket field, know it took alot of getting and alot of doing but Silverdale got it and did it. Involved in the doing was my Dad he built alot of the walls and I remember helping him with the fine entrance walls that still welcome cricketers onto the field to this day... Dad loved his community, the people of Silverdale and the place he called home, he was proud to be asked and involved in this project many years ago To Dad life was all about being happy and making others happy... I know for a fact he did this and to him Silverdale was all about community and the Making of it.... It is far better to be know for making something rather than breaking something.... I hope in years to come other children can say My Dad helped make a part of this village I know Ann Mason-day and myself can :-)
