Never underestimate the power of propaganda - it is a powerful force which can compel even the most rational human being into condoning destructive acts - it sows the seeds of doubt, justifying unspeakable acts while at the same time convincing good people that atrocities are "necessary" and "just". It is a truly pernicious force, absolving people of their true moral sense of decency, abrogating their true values and pushing us all towards a world where up is down, right is wrong and evil is good.
