New BLOG Post. FOOD FOR THOUGHT if you are an Intercessor! CROSSING-THE-LINE What are our ‘Spiritual Boundaries’? This question intrigued me after crossing into another property to pray. I had a very unsettling feeling when something inside me knew that “I was crossing-the-line”. When we do “cross-that-line” and step-outside of the sanctuary to pray … we may be entering a war zone. The battle is not against flesh and blood but against evil spiritual powers in heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12) The outcome can result in both triumph and defeat. “Counter Attacks” at times seem to be more than mere coincidence. Some teach that we have been appointed and empowered to wage war in the heavenly realm while others teach that we should avoid spiritual warfare all together. What is the truth? Jesus did not overcome the devil by rebuking him out of this world. Satan had a right (LEGAL GROUND) to be there based on the sin of man. Jesus did tell Satan to get behind Him when Peter opposed Jesus’ crucifixion. Jesus did cast out many demons operating in the earthly realm. But, there is not an account where Jesus directly taught His disciples to initiate battles with unseen principalities and powers. His instructions were to preach the gospel of the kingdom in all the earth. (Mark 16:15) God is not looking for those who can see the sin and faults in others just to expose it. Jesus is looking for those who can see beyond the problem and seek to find a solution. As we submit our lives to Jesus, the kingdom of darkness diminishes and the kingdom of God increases. Again … most of the time … the fight is within ourselves until we learn how to hand it over to God. The kingdom of God is manifested where we are humble; obedient; repentant; forgiving; and ooze with His Agape’. Lesson inspired by E.
