New Delhi: A day after two men from Northeast India were allegedly beaten by locals in Gurgaon, a young Mizo girl was found murdered in Delhi’s Munirka today. Juliet, 24, was found dead and brought to Safdarjung Hospital with fatal head injury from house No. 176, Moti Bagh Chauper in Munirka. The victim had been living with a man called Virender Singh who is accused of killing her. He has been detained by the police. An engineering graduate is hes being quizzed by cops as to why he killed Juliet. The police have lodged an FIR under section 302 of the IPC. Investigation is going on. This year in January 29, a North east boy – Nido Tania, was beaten up by some shoppers in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar. Since then despite mass protest across the nation, there have been several attacks on people from the north east. On October 15, Michael Lamjathang Haokip from Manipur was brutally beaten up by some locals in Bangalore for not speaking Kannada. INDIAtv
