New Girl In The City - 1 Shes new to the city . It has only been 2 months since she joined our college. Even though I know shes here to pursue her Masters, I personally feel theres a lot more to it than just another degree. Shes a bit weird though. When she laughs, she doesnt seem much happy. And when she smiles, it feels as if shes just obliging the other person. But something has me cling onto her. I feel very strongly about knowing her. I notice her all day without letting her realize it. I feel she is some dark form of art which Id like to learn and perform all my life. Shes the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, but she proclaims that shes just another girl. She looks like a happy friendly girl in college but in her diary, she writes about how sad and lonely she is. She smiles and laughs at all the jokes of our group but that smile is just not natural. Theres no warmth in it. Its a plain cold smile. She can talk about politics, economics, etc. etc. but when it comes to her feelings, she just hides it all. Even when she feels bad about something, she never complains. She just goes on with it as if it doesnt affect her. I spend a lot of time with her and she sometimes feels scared because I look right through the stuff shes hiding. But I avoid doing that and instead, I try to share her burden. I just keep trying to make her realize that Ill be there for her and Ill remind her of her lost self very soon. I remember one day she was scribbling this in her diary, I dont think Ill ever find someone wholl get through these walls around my heart and make me feel loved again! She brushed the diary into her bag as soon as she realized my presence. But my heart had already replied to those words - You surely will. I am trying and I am sure I will do it one day! Instead I gave her a warm hug and tried making her laugh with a joke. I think she has come to this city for a new beginning. Her beginning, My beginning, Our beginning! ---To Be Continued...
