New Hampshire Legislative Update – May 9, 2014 Good news! House Bill 1410 which would include animals under the domestic violence protection statute passed unanimously through the Senate Judiciary committee Tuesday! This bill will now head to the full Senate for a vote next Thursday, May 15th. Thanks to those of you who reached out to Senators on that committee! We’re in the final stretch here! Please contact your Senator and ask him/her to support this bill before Thursday to ensure that victims of domestic violence can petition the courts to include their animals in a restraining order.
