New Jersey Office of Emergency Management Update regarding Seaside Boardwalk Fire - Mutual aid fire departments have departed the scene. Seaside Park and Seaside Heights Fire Departments remain on scene to handle any fire hot spots. - During the course of this morning assessment of the fire scene, three Seaside Park firefighters were injured, receiving non-life threat injuries. They were transported to local hospital for treatment. - The investigation into the cause of the fire has started and is being handled by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office with assistance from Ocean County Sheriff Department, New Jersey State Police Arson / Bomb, ATF, Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office and New Jersey State Fire Marshal’s Office. - Perimeter around the fire remains closed with high police presence. - NJDEP reports that IBSP has reopened. - All roads in a (5) block perimeter remain closed to local traffic between Stockton Ave & Lincoln Ave and Bay Blvd & Ocean Terrace. - Parts of SH 35 remain closed with traffic is being redirected. - SH 37 continues to reserve one lane for emergency vehicles with only allowing local residents into the area.
