New Job Graduate Project Surveyor - 52822 Industry: Graduates and Trainees Job Type: Permanent Location: Mitcheldean, England Salary: £20000 - £25000 per annum A new position has arisen for a Graduate Project Surveyor to join a leading privately owned and family run, South West based organisation. The purpose of this position is to assist in the production of Estimated Profit Statements for the Company and Commercial projects to meet the financial requirements of the annual and quarterly budgets. The successful applicant will be responsible to maintain tight cost control in the procurement of materials, labour and services resulting in maximising profit. Key Responsibilities: Quantify and provide estimated costs for inclusion in the Estimated Profit Statements as required Liaise with other internal members of staff and departments to obtain quantity and estimated costs as required Produce quantified and rated schedules to assist in the negotiation of the most cost effective subcontractor and material prices Assist with the production of plot or project specific budget estimates from the Estimated Profit Statement in line with agreed order codes to formulate a financial target for material and subcontractor order placement Assist with and produce and maintain accurate house type specific estimated costs Breakdown Estimated Profit Statements into individual plot / project estimates using the agreed schedule of accounts / order codes Continually monitor actual costs against estimated costs and produce variance reports as required Assist with the production of detailed Cost Budget Variance Report at the conclusion of every project Analyse tenders against budget and prepare variance report Control and manage the receipt, recording of and issue of all drawings and project documentation Register, stamp and log all drawings on drawing register received from internal staff and external consultants Maintain and manage computerised Construction Drawing Directories on the company server Manage and assist in the management of the Customer Journey Collate and organise all information required for Customer Hand Over packs Organise and obtain EPC Skills/Requirements: Degree in Construction or related subject HNC in Construction or related subject Ability to manage, communicate effectively with other staff, sub-contractors and suppliers Good basic academic qualifications and numeracy skills High level of computer literacy Good attention to detail, be able to innovate and creative Must excel in a team environment and integrate with other team members Excellent communication and social skills Remain commercially astute Be able to identify and communicate opportunities
