New Job Lift Project Manager - Manchester - L&E.10 Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: Manchester, England Job Title: Project Manager Location: Manchester Project Managers role is to manage and control the Major Projects Department, covering mainly Manchester and the North West. You will have full responsibility for the planning and delivery of the projects from contract award to final account including the profit and loss of each project. You will liaise with internal and external clients to ensure the project is delivered on time and to specification. Person Requirement: *A proven track record of managing projects and managing people within the lift industry *Commercial, contractual and lift knowledge is essential *Strong communication skills both written and verbal *Strong Leadership skills *Strong IT skills *A valid UK driving license Key Duties and Responsibilities: *Accountable for the delivery of the project *Accountable for the financial result of the project (cannot be responsible for costs associated with changes in factory prices or exchange rate variables) *Participates to the sales/installation hand-over and validates the term of the order received from the customer together with the salesperson *Responsible for administrative activities of the project including daily human resource management (absences, time sheet review/approvals) and reports project progress (schedule, installation hours, fitter time sheets, budget and risks) to his superiors *Responsible for maintaining project documentation *Updates information to company management systems *Accountable for customer satisfaction and quality of installation *Develops and maintains a cordial and professional relationship with the sub-contractors People management / Leadership *Accountable for people (site operatives) development and well being, and managing the performance of the team and individuals *Identifies field operative training needs and manages training plans Skills, Education and Experience: *Experience in the elevator and escalator industry *Prior working experience in an allied industry *Educational qualification, relevant to the field you will be working in Please dont apply if you have not worked in the Lift & Escalator industry, your application will be discarded.
