New Job PRESS TOOL DESIGN ENGINEER - JND-PTDE-WILT Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: Wiltshire, England Salary: £30000 - £40000 per annum VACANCY DESCRIPTION: EGE Die Centre - Press Tool Design Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION Role *Tool spec creation for differing press lines. *Press tool design / modification. *An understanding of 3D surface modeling *Die pattern and casting checks. *Part inspections and quality confirmations. *Project control of specific items via schedules, cost tracking, and manpower allocations. *Line try out quality support. *Supplier support, development and control. *Production emergency support / problem countermeasure. *Process planning. *Cam data production. Experience *Press tooling design (Automotive). *Large project control / supervision. *Customer liaison. Expertise *CAD Operation: Catia V5, or Other. *NC CAD Operation: Tebis, or Other. *Microsoft Proficient: Excel, Word, Project Etc Qualifications * HNC Mechanical Design or equivalent Reporting Procedures and Systems *Daily and weekly verbal communication with team and section. *Quality inspection reports. Relationships *Good teamwork and the ability to be able to communicate all issues freely. *Must be proactive, assertive, open and responsive to change. *Ability to control/lead and supervise staff. *Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Performance Measurement *Yearly assessments with immediate manager. *Commitment, Attitude, Work, Results monitored on a daily basis. Employment Period *Permanent role.
