New Job Systems Accountant - BLS/11644 Industry: Retail Job Type: Permanent Location: Birmingham, England Salary: £35000 - £45000 per annum Greenwellgleeson is recruiting a Systems Project Accountant to work in a worldwide distributing organisation.The jobholder will support all systems migrations in the business (including acquisitions) in order to maintain and optimise the performance of the finance systems, ensure the consistency, integrity and controls of data management, resolve systems problems and provide cover for day to day systems accounting issues. To deliver an excellent level of customer service to customers and stakeholders in relation to finance system issues and MI reporting and ensure there is an accurate and timely flow of finance systems information across the organisation, Manage the performance, motivation, development and training of the Systems Accounting team ensuring that there is sufficient capacity to support BAU issues, processes and enhancements and that knowledge is shared to provide cover when team members are absent. The ideal candidate will be Qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience of finance. Must have excellent core/transactional accounting knowledge and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting procedures(statutory and management accounts). Although not essential,the following would be directly relevant to the role: ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
