New Orleans is on fire with Jazz Fest starting and thats my que to get back to Austin...We have been filming interviews for Rumble getting some great GREAT stuff from New Orleans legends Cyril Neville, Chief Monk Boudreaux and Ivan Neville. I LOVE jamming with Ivan Neville and he and his band Dumpstaphunk is playing a Led Zep set Friday night and YES I want to jam but I need to get home to see my Son since I have been traveling so much and it really bums him out when I am gone too much ...I have played music neglecting almost everything else in my life for 30 years but I cant neglect the Wolfpup...BUT jamming Led Zeppelin songs at Jazz Fest with Ivan Neville is a tough thing to say no too. Yesterday Chief Monk and Cyril told us some stories about the early collaborations between Native Americans And the slaves shedding light on how the Blues came to be. This is a photo of Alvin Youngbood Hart who is a very cool musician and expert of the great Native American bluesman Charlie Patton...Fonz the director of Rumble ( shown in this photo) will tour some cool Mississippi deep spots with Alvin this week. My next stop will be LA next week to film a cameo role in a very cool movie with Steven Tyler...this should be fun! — at Chateau LeMoyne - French Quarter.
