New Press Release from Multihull Solutions Media information Sunday, July 28, 2013, For immediate release Fountaine Pajot launches new Lipari 41 Evolution One of Fountaine Pajot’s most popular sailing catamarans has undergone an impressive upgrade with a host of design innovations. Multihull enthusiasts will be able to inspect the sparkling Lipari 41 Evolution at its Australasian launch at the 2013 Gold Coast Marine Expo from 1-3 November. The catamaran has a new cockpit featuring an even larger opening to the saloon to maximise indoor and outdoor integration, as well as a sleek sofa that delivers an idyllic position for enjoying the sea views. Inside, the galley has been rejuvenated with a synthetic resin bench tops and a 144-litre refrigerator with drawers that make it perfect for extended cruising. The galley opens directly on to the cockpit dining area for particularly convenient for entertaining. The aft cabins have been redesigned to include additional wide bays with opening portholes that optimise natural lighting and ventilation. The Lipari 41 Evolution will undoubtedly solidify the model’s status as one of the world’s top cruising catamarans in its class, with more than 150 of its predecessors already sold since its initial launch in 2010. The catamaran has been constructed with a low centre of gravity and light displacement of 7.6T to ensure safety, stability with optimal comfort and performance in all conditions. Its two 20Hp standard engines provide a cruising speed of 7.7 knots, while the option of two larger 30Hp engines offers up to 9.5 knots if required. Aesthetically, the Lipari 41 Evolution represents the pinnacle of European excellence with elegant lines and a revolutionary design that maximises space, storage and comfort. The catamaran’s ergonomically designed deck provides convenient centralised handling with obstacle-free movement. Built with advanced RTM éco technology, the Lipari 41 outshines its competitors in innovation with the mast built into the deck rather than the roof for reinforced structural rigidity and ease of handling. Priced from AUD$580,000, the Lipari 41 Evolution is available in two versions: The Quatuor features four cabins with two separate bathrooms and is ideal for family and charter use. The Maestro is a true Owner’s version with an exclusive private suite in the starboard hull including a decadent queen sized bed, desk, library and beautiful ensuite with contemporary designer fixtures. Multihull Solutions sold the first Australian Lipari 41 Evolution to Queensland clients Andy Richards and Elaine Painter who spent three years researching catamarans to find the right model that could suit their plans to live onboard. “I wanted a boat around 12 to 14 metres that could sail well, and my wife wanted something like a massive city apartment,” Andy said. “I have sailed a lot when I was younger, and although Elaine hasn’t done much sailing, what she did she loved, and the idea of going on holidays and taking the house with her just seemed perfect,” he said. The couple became disheartened after contacting numerous brokers to help them find a boat until they contacted Multihull Solutions. “Despite probably seeing us tyre kickers they treated us with respect and were extremely courteous and attentive. They came with a well-deserved reputation for being honest and good to deal with. We knew we wanted to engage with Multihull Solutions to help us purchase our boat, either as a broker or buyer’s agent, as we trusted them to look after our interests,” Andy said. “Richard from Multihull Solutions rang one day to let us know that there was a “show special” price on the Lipari 41 available as part of the 2012 Gold Coast Marine Expo. We really hadn’t thought we could afford a new Lipari, but with the strength of the AUD and the “show price” we did the numbers and were pleasantly surprised. “The only catch was due to the popularity of the Lipari we would have to wait almost a year to take delivery. We had planned to go to the Gold Coast Marine Expo to look at boats anyway, but this time we went with pen and our chequebook. “We have spent the last 9 months counting down the days, and we are ecstatic that thanks to Multihull Solutions, our boat will be the new model Lipari 41 Evolution. The long wait was worth it and we are ecstatic,” he said. Their new Lipari 41 Evolution will be home for Andy and Elaine, and although initially based in Brisbane where they will enjoy sailing on Moreton Bay, the couple plans to eventually head north and explore the South Pacific. “We know the catamaran will very comfortably fulfil our wish for a ‘liveable home’ that can sail safely and comfortably, and sail well. Further information, inspections and test sails of the new Lipari 41 Evolutions can be arranged by contacting Multihull Solutions on 1300 855 338 (within Australia) or 0508 MULTIS (within New Zealand), emailing [email protected] or visiting the website at multihullsolutions.au.
