New Testament Greek I: The Basics Course Description—A Study of the Language of the NT and its Use for Interpretation: Serious students of the Bible who are interested to step it up a notch in their knowledge of the New Testament will benefit from learning the basics of New Testament Greek. This course will give the self-learner and motivated student of the Bible the basics for understanding the original text of the New Testament and will prepare Bible students to read and study the Greek text the New Testament. A study of New Testament Greek grammar, focusing on learning vocabulary and basic forms necessary to read and study the Greek New Testament. This course introduces the student to the first step in the discipline of Bible exegesis: an introduction to basic Greek grammar for reading and studying the New Testament in the original Greek language. Ten class sessions: Oct 7, 14, 21, 28; Nov 4, 11, 18, 25; Dec 2, 9, (11—extra date if needed) Two-hour sessions: 6:30pm – 8:30pm; attentively set for Monday evenings NEST seeks to make this course available and seeks at least five (5) enrolled students for the start date October 7th. There will be classroom activities, homework, weekly quizzes, and two take home exams. There are also three textbooks that goes with the lessons: William Mounce, The Basics of Biblical Greek (Zondervan); William Mounce, The Basics of Biblical Greek Workbook (Zondervan); and The Greek New Testament, UBS 4th edition.
