New York becomes the 11th (blue) state to endorse a national - TopicsExpress

New York becomes the 11th (blue) state to endorse a national popular vote for deciding presidential races. The idea would not require a Constitutional change, merely for the states to tell their electors they shall support the national vote winner. Do you think it’s a good idea to reduce the power of swing states, and to force candidates to win every vote they can in every state? Or do you think this would just result in campaigns hunkering down in densely-populated areas, there by skewing national policy toward the interests of urban voters?
