New Zealand school district spending NZ$900K to battle nits. Whereas any public health effort might seem meritorious, we wonder if this one is really justified or wise. Are there not other more pressing issues that might be pursued using such funds and efforts? Why set up treatment facilities within the schools? Shouldnt this be performed elsewhere, and certainly during hours when the kids should be in class? It seems theres an overriding fiscal agenda that may have influenced this action.
