New electric service company time. I couldnt figure out why my bill was 400 bucks (ok, I exaggerate; it was 398.04) -- I wondered if my roomie set the thermostat to 50 and kept all doors and windows open while I was in Austin -- but a closer look at my bill shows a summer hike from 11 cents to 19 for June through October. Best I could get after an hour and 20 minutes listening to hold music (if I never hear a sax again, Ill be good) is that I should have been on a contract to keep the rate their salesperson promised. I wish the sales guy had mentioned that. Found a plan for 10 cent kwhs and free Saturdays. The hold time allowed me time for thorough research as well as pulling weeds and driving to HEB.
