New passenger train between Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna. Sambalpur: As per provisions made in the rail budget, a new passenger train between Sambalpur and Bhawanipatna will be flagged off by Sambalpur MP Nagendra Pradhan from the railway station here at 8.30 am on Sunday. Local MLA Raseswari Panigrahi, DRM Ajaya Pratap Singh, eminent personalities of the city and senior railway officers will be present on this occasion, according to a East Cost Railway (ECoR) release. The new train will leave Sambalpur at 7.15 am and arrive at Bhawanipatna at 3.00 pm. In the return journey, it will leave Bhawanipatna at 9.50 am and arrive Sambalpur at 6.50 pm. The train will stop at all stations between Sambalpur and Bhawanipatna. ADDITIONAL STOPPAGES: With a view to provide comfortable journey to the commuters and for the convenience of daily passengers, the railways has decided to provide stoppage of Puri-Sambalpur-Puri Intercity Express at Mancheswar and Bamur stations as well as Bhubaneswar-Bolangir-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express at Mancheswar station on an experimental basis for six month with effect from January 1, 2015. The release said 18303 Sambalpur-Puri Intercity Express will arrive at Bamur at 7.25 am and at Mancheswar at 10.28 am. In the return direction, 18304 Puri-Sambalpur Intercity Express will arrive at Mancheswar at 17.24 pm and at Bamur at 8.30 pm. The train will have a minute’s halt at all the stoppages. Similarly, 12893 Bhubaneswar-Bolangir Intercity Express will arrive at Mancheswar at 6.54 am and in the return direction, 12894 Bolangir-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express will arrive at the station at 21.22 pm. It will have two minutes’ halt during the stoppages. The timings and stoppages for these trains at other places will remain unchanged. SAFETY SEMINAR: In view of recent rail accidents in different parts of the country, a divisional safety seminar on “Development of positive attitude” was organized at the Railway Institute, Titilagarh. Speaking on the occasion, senior divisional operations manager Milind Hirwe stressed on positive thinking of a man which helps to achieve the target while senior divisional safety officer Manoj Kumar Beura emphasized on strict adherence to check and balance system in railways. D.N. Tripathy, instructor at Training School in Khurda, gave a power-point presentation on development of positive attitude. Senior railway officials R.K. Panda and N.A. Khan also addressed the gathering. Chief DTI (Safety) Mrunmoy Mohanty coordinated the event. Around 200 staff members from different disciplines participated in the seminar. There was an interactive session on various safety related issues, the ECoR release added.
