New post with added photos: It looks like The Micro Farm - TopicsExpress

New post with added photos: It looks like The Micro Farm Project will be moving to another property, and we are trying to decide whether or not to sell our current property with the urban farming amenities, or turn it back into a regular house. This is a dream house for urban farming, so if you know anyone who is looking, send them our way! The lot is just about 1/4 acre. It has goat pens and a chicken coop with attached run, several mature gardens, irrigation system, a quail aviary, a hugelkultur bed and edible cactus. It also has pink grapefruit, pomegranates, mesquite, a fruiting mulberry and grapes, peaches, plums, lemongrass and a small orchard watered by a laundry-to-landscape system. We have spent years improving the soil and configuring gardens to require as little water as possible. Gas heat and tankless water heater. Air conditioning replaced 5 years ago with efficient system. Sunscreens and efficient windows. Blow-in insulation in the ceiling. There is catchment for air conditioning condensate, which collects gallons and gallons of water in the summertime. Hot tub (could be converted to aquaponics.) The house has three bedrooms and a remodeled kitchen. Gas stove. Large pantry. Ceiling fans in every room (except bathrooms.) A large patio spans the entire back of the house, and there is a sizable shed with shelving. The neighbors are friendly and they have been tolerant of our animals. Asking $250K. This is an opportunity to acquire the property before it goes on the market, at which time our realtor will remove a lot of the infrstructure that we have built. We prefer not to let that happen. Interested? Message me and we can exchange phone numbers.
