New vs Old Covenant!!! Most people dont realize there were 2 laws given but one fulfilled the other.The law of Moses and the Blood and Resurrection of the Lord.. Jesus said if ye follw him the old law does not exist anymore, because he is the way, the truth and the life and you only can make it to the father thru him The Pharasies didnt understand him because they lived under the law of Moses. With this said, A mariage is bound by both husband and wife under Jesus,if ye believe. Meaning a husband is still the head but the woman is still responsible for his and her action in the marriage. The unbelieving husband can be saved by his wife. I hear so many women say my husband doesnt attend church or dont follow the Lord. Well.Ladies you are responsible for your marriage in the new covenant just as the husband is responsibile under the new covenant of Jesus. There was once a husband and wife who had to sell everything and bring it to the alter. The husband kept back a portion and he died on the spot.His wife was call in and she was aware of the money held back. She too died on the spot. I say this to say, God could have just punished the man (head) but he chosed to punish the both of them because they knew better.Now all of this was under the new covenant. Jesus didnt come to obolish the old law but fulfilled them.. If a wife doesnt follow the new covenant the wife is under the law of the old covenant and therfore will be taken for granted by man who is under the old covenant. If both are under the new covenant both will be ONE equal of each in the spirit of God......If a marriage goes bad BOTH are under oath and responsible and should reconciled to each other..not run away,if one runs away or divorces thier husband or wife then they are under the old law which brings about death. One can be forgiven for lack of knowledge and understanding as long as they repentent and ask for forgiveness... Hebrews 8:6 But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. Hebrews 8:13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. Matthew 5:17-19 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 1 Corinthians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
