New year, new beginnings. For those of you who dont know, Sue and I have split up. The decision was made almost a year ago, and Sue moved out just before Christmas. I will be retaining the house and the car, and Sue will get cash. Three of the kids will stay here with me, while Kurt has decided this is a good opportunity to rent his own flat. Its been a difficult time but I couldnt have done it without the help of two people: my marriage guidance counsellor/therapist who helped me to see things clearly, and, most importantly of all, Susann Kulhas, my financial adviser, who worked tirelessly over a period of seven months to get me a mortgage in this very difficult climate.
