The Learning Center (TLC) is seeking a part-time student receptionist for the spring semester. Duties include greeting faculty, staff, and students in The Learning Center, assigning tutors, administering or proctoring tests, word processing, data entry, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications include enrollment in at least 6 credit hours at BGSU Firelands, basic office knowledge, proficient in typing (50 wpm), quality communication skills and customer service skills (particularly with persons of diverse backgrounds and exceptional needs), and initiative. Duties include manage information and communication disseminated from this office to students and faculty; office organization, maintain paper and electronic files, and maintain confidentiality; utilize telephone etiquette, mail services, web sites, and e-mail; plan and schedule meetings and appointments (as requested) for administrative personnel; have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and effectively utilize a computer; train and orient new staff as needed or requested; perform special office tasks at the request or need of the administrative staff; provide special office task when required, coping or scanning notes to DSS worker; provide assistance to the support staff of the Teaching and Learning Center. Applicant must be flexible, punctual, efficient, friendly, open-minded and dedicated to completing work tasks. Confidentiality is crucial; executing a statement of confidentiality is required. The Sandusky area YMCA is seeking a part-time gymnastics instructor and coach to assist in instructing/ spotting pre-school and progressive gymnastics as well as coaching the competitive levels 3- Optional. Additional responsibilities include: teach any and all groups through all rotations that are considered safe by current standards; explain and/or demonstrate age appropriate gymnastics skills; observe and assist participants in acquiring new skills; set up equipment specific to each class; check equipment and gym regularly to ensure a safe environment for participants; report accidents and injuries that occur during class; administer first-aid as necessary; attend trainings, clinics, and conferences to learn new or different ideas; organizes and maintains gym. The Miriam House is a transition housing program for women and children. This person will assist the program coordinator and case manager in all functions of programming for the residents and operations of the facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: receiving/ greeting visitors, answers phones, maintains daily staff logs, provides assistance and direction to residents, maintains house and premises, and assures all rooms are ready for occupancy.
