#New_Job_at_ICDDRB #Post: Medical Technologist with Laboratory under the Center for Food and Waterborne Diseases (Advertisement #16/15) icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Medical Technologist with Laboratory under the Center for Food and Waterborne Diseases. The appointment will be made on a CSA basis for 06 months, which is renewable depending on performance and availability of funds. Duty station – Dhaka Salary – Tk. 27,191/- (consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible. Job Profile Project Work: Perform all the laboratory tests and assays of the study as per SOP; Collect blood specimens from healthy subjects and prepare the specimens for the assays; Maintain all the reagents inventory as well as other accessories related to the project; Follow the Quality & technical documents of ISO and maintain orderly and legible records of Testing/reagents; Maintain equipment, assist supervisor and promotes good working relationship; Perform routine laboratory tests and assays independently in accordance with approved SOP and keep records; Prepare controls, calibrators, reagents and chemicals and maintain log; Discard bio hazardous materials in Hypo-chloride; Neutralize harsh reagents before disposing PPE; Discard waste material in bio-hazard bag for autoclaving and incineration; Report results, maintaining strict confidentiality; Store leftover samples for further requirement in order to carry out uninterrupted project work. Maintenance of Equipment, Bio-Safety and Bio-Security: Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment for their optimum operation and perform minor trouble shooting; Follow biosafety and biosecurity guidelines; Adhere to quality assurance processes from collection to reception by the laboratory; Maintain temperature log for sample and freeze and freezer as well as maintain temperature log in transit through cool box; contact with bio-medical engineering for maintenance works of medical equipments as per guidelines in order to ensure proper maintenance and use of equipments with safety and security. Requirements: Education and Relevant Experience : Diploma/BSc in Medical Lab Technology. 2-3 Years experiences in healthcare research or medical diagnostic laboratory as Medical Technologist.
