News: Co-Owner Yu Expresses Disappointment After Ros Protest Fails To Beat Deadline RAIN or Shine team owner Raymund Yu expressed disappointment after his team failed to deliver its protest letter at the PBA office in time for the 12 noon deadline on Sunday, prompting Commissioner Rudy Salud to turn it down owing to a technicality. “I don’t really know why na-late yung pag-file. Maybe because it’s Sunday and also because of the rain, pero syempre, nakaka-disappoint kasi na-late kami ng pag-file ng protest letter namin ng 10 minutes,” Yu told Spin.ph. Nonetheless, the amiable Rain or Shine big boss said that at least, they were able to voice out their displeasure over the way the game was handled by the game officials. “Ang importante is na-voice out namin yung displeasure namin sa officiating,” he said. Barangay Ginebra forward Mac Baracael provided the endgame heroics on Saturday’s controversial game by sinking three straight free throws with three-tenths of second to go to lead the Gin Kings to a 101-100 win. Referee No Quilingen whistled a foul on Rain or Shine’s burly big man Beau Belga, who went to challenge Baracael’s last-second three-point attempt in front of the Ginebra bench. The call drew a howl of protest from Belga and the rest of the E-Painters, who claimed there was no foul. Salud later said the call was "spot on."
